Hi, I’m Michael, also known as Mr. Silk.
Despite the way things are now, I wasn’t always smooth or confident when it came to women.
In fact, I know all too well just what it’s like to freeze up, second-guess myself, and avoid taking the chance to start a conversation.
Back in 2005, I came across David DeAngelo’s Double Your Dating, and it opened my eyes. I realized there was a whole world of knowledge out there about dating and attraction, so I went in and tried to explore everything.
I studied everything—from the Mystery Method to direct daygame strategies—and explored ideas from the Red Pill, Black Pill, and Manosphere communities.
Even though I had read pretty much everything you could think of, I always felt like something was missing.
PUAs and dating coaches often cited strategies based on “psychology” and “human biology”...
But none of it gave me the complete picture, and most of the advice lacked a scientific foundation.
After earning my master’s degrees in Communication and Behavioral Science, I knew I wanted to make a change.
